Red Rita
is a full Bolivian from an outcrossed sire and dam. She
is of the height, weight, bone, fiber density, color, and
conformation that we seek. Her personality is rather interesting
in that she is the alpha female in the herd but is quite
easy to halter, lead, shear, give shots to and cut toe nails.
Rita also loves lotion put on her nose and lips. Dorothy
Finkel, of Tejas Northwest Llama, from whom we purchased
Rita, called it “giving Rita a facial.” Rita
is a terrific mom, having had numerous cria, all of whom are
colorful, large boned and silky heavy wool llama.
Related to almost no other llama.
